General objective
The general objective of the project is to develop sustainable non-siliceous
meso-porous/structured materials with advanced functionalities for high performance
applications involving innovative techniques as
ultrasound (US), microwaves (MW) and plasma (PL).
Specific objectives
01 /
To develop/improve attractive NSOMMs (OMOs, OMPs, OMCs) with highly ordered three
dimensional structures.
02 /
To use original/innovative non-conventional techniques for the soft-template synthesis of NSOMMs.
03 /
To develop textural, structural, and morphological features of the synthesized materials.
04 /
To test the sorptive properties of the obtained OMCs and OMPs, and (photo)catalytic activity of the prepared OMOs materials for possible industrial wastewaters treatments, as well as the
biocompatibility and toxicity of the obtained NSOMMs for drug delivery applications.
05 /
To train PhD students contributing to their formation as researchers in the field of synthesis,
characterization and applications of NSOMMs.
06 /
To disseminate their synergistic work and publish papers (at least 6 articles in ISI indexed journals) and develop a public web-site with the obtained original results.
